Beach Club Open House: Building Software in the Age of AI

The GOAB Beach Club is usually a closed room: founders, builders, geeks and investors meeting every month to help each other grow. In February 2026 we did something different and opened the doors to the public for our first-ever Open House.

Software development is changing fast, so we asked one of our own to show what it looks like from the inside. Prince John Santillan is a full-stack developer by day and an aspiring founder and community builder by night. In 2025 he was usually the first member to sign up for every GOAB activity, and he credits the network with helping him navigate his own founder journey.

His live session covered three things:

  • The new stack: a live demo of what software development looks like in 2026.
  • AI workflows: practical examples of how he uses AI tools to speed up the build process.
  • The founder's path: how he balances a day job while building his own startup.

How the morning ran

  1. Welcome and Open House intro
  2. Live demo: Software Development in the Age of AI
  3. Q&A and community discussion
  4. Optional open networking to meet the members and speakers

Why the Beach Club exists

We're best known for our flagship conference, but we don't wait 12 months to reconnect. The Beach Club meets year-round through meetups, masterminds and events, because building a startup shouldn't be a lonely journey.

Thank you to the hosts who made the Open House happen: Tina Amper, Cora Ko-Soledad, Joanne Toni Alignay, Prince John Santillan, Shad de la Cruz, Dave Overton, Doris Mongaya and Mark Deutsch.

Catch the next one. This October we're going deeper with live, production-level AI Engineering Masterclasses. Want every session, year-round? Join the GOAB Beach Club. Questions? Email hello@geeksonabeach.com.
